1.1 outline why it is important to deal with people who are injured or ill promptly, calmly and correctly

 

The way to deal with injured people is to gain information and make sure that the person is not in any further harm and to provide support in any way possible

 

1.2 identify the broad types of injury and illness that may occur

the main type of injury and illness that will occur will probably be slips trips and falls and maybe some violent acts depending on the event .

 

1.3 outline how to deal with injuries and illnesses on a ‘first on scene’ basis

 

You should perform DR SABS/ DR ABC

·         D- danger- check if there is anything that could cause you harm.

·         R- response-shake body to see if they respond to your voice or movements

·         S- shout for help- shout for anyone to ring for an ambulance

·         A- air ways- open mouth and tilt head back to open airways and to check if there is anything blocking the airways

·         B- breathing – place face over mouth and look down the body to see if there is any movement or breaths

·         S- shout for help- if help hasn’t yet come shout again

·         C- circulation – check for a pulse either on the wrist or neck

You should create a cordon to move people away from the scene as to not over crowd the area and cause more injuries or obstructions for further help.

 

1.4 state the types of information and support that should be given to qualified assistance

 

The types of information that should be given –

·         What type of injury

·         Where it happened

·         How it happened (if known)

·         Age

·         Gender

·         Disability (if any)

·         Any medication

·         Illnesses

·         Allergies

 

1.5 outline why it is important to report accidents and incidents

 

It is important to report accidents and incidents because if a person claims then they have evidence of what happened that day.

It also prevents further incidents happening as you can put things in place to warn people, training needs as it could be a difficult accident and not typical in other training courses.

 

 

1.6 identify the typical procedures for reporting accidents and incidents

 

·         Inform your supervisor

·         Complete the accident book

 


2.1 outline why it is important to respond to emergencies promptly, calmly and correctly

 

It is important to act calmly because if you rush and panic things could go wrong and also you could forget things that you got taught. You could also miss things such as people still stuck in buildings or people who are in distress

 

 

2.2 identify the types of emergency that may occur

 

The types of emergency that could occur are somebody could get lost (e.g. children) in a crowded area so then they will describe the child to the other of the stewards. Another emergency that could occur is a person getting injured they would then have to help the ambulance get to the injured person by making a path for the emergency service.

 

 

2.3 outline the procedures for responding to emergencies

Safety of spectators, safety of other staff, evacuation of spectators, helping to prevent panic, communicating with other staff, communicating with emergency service worked

 

 

2.4 identify the different roles and responsibilities of people in a workplace for each type of emergency

 

The roles and responsibilities of the people in the work place in an emergency is that they should make sure that all of the people should be evacuate the venue and make sure that they do not panic and make sure there is no communication failure

 

2.5 list the types of problems that may occur during emergency procedures

 

the list of problems that could occur in an emergency is

·         panic

·         confusion

·         communication breakdown

·          



2.6 outline how to respond to problems during emergency procedures

 

You respond to emergency procedures by communicating to other people to let them know and involve your colleagues and following instructions on the procedure  

 


2.7 state why problems with emergency procedures should be reported

 

You should report problems so that they can be stated and then they can be made sure that it never happens again in any other event and stops future harm from others
